Go further with your Travel Credit on American Express Travel Online

If your American Express® Card offers an annual Travel Credit, you can put it towards eligible flights, hotels, “things to do”, or even car hire at American Express Travel Online.

Your payment can be a combination of the total Travel Credit, American Express Membership Rewards points or your American Express Card but remember, your Travel Credit only lasts for 12 months so don’t forget to use it before its expiry date.

Step-by-step guide to redeem your Travel Credit:

  1. Log in to your American Express account using your American Express user ID and password.

  2. If unused, view your valid Travel Credit in the top right corner of the page. Click on the ‘Travel Credit’ name to display the Terms and Conditions and Policies on what your Travel Credit can be used on.

  3. Search for flights, hotels, "things to do" or car hire. Your available payment options will be displayed in the results.

  4. Select your itinerary and continue to checkout.

Make sure the total value of your travel booking is the same or higher value than the Travel Credit. You can only use the Travel Credit in one single transaction and remaining (unused) balance will be forfeited.

  5. Redeem your Travel Credit against your booking by selecting the Travel Credit. Your payment can be a combination of the Travel Credit, American Express Membership Rewards points, and your American Express Card.

  6. Start booking with American Express Travel Online
